Makita DHR243Z 18V Brushless SDS Plus Rotary Hammer Drill with Quick Change Chuck (Body Only)

The Makita DHR243Z brushless SDS+ drill is a 3 mode machine with rotary hammer for masonry drilling, hammer only for masonry chiselling and rotary only for drilling wood and steel and features variable speed and reverse. The front SDS chuck is removable by simply twisting and pulling off the machine and can then be converted to a 3 jaw keyless chuck machine compatible with standard straight shank drill bit for non-hammer, rotary only action. A quality, all steel keyless chuck is supplied as standard for rotary only drilling. The DHR243Z features a brushless DC motor which reduces energy loss by 30% giving longer battery run time and saves maintenance. A rubberised rear D grip and side handle make this tool extremely well balanced and comfortable to use and at just 3.3kg it is suitable for prolonged use. This machine will also accept the DX01 HEPA filter which attaches to the main unit and effectively traps all particle sizes with an efficiency rating of 99.75%.

• The Makita DHR243 is a 24mm (15/16") cordless combination hammer powered by a single LXT 18V Li-Ion battery. It's essentially the DHR242, but with this version you get the Quick Change Chuck (QCC) for easy switching to standard straight shank drill bits. This drill was released to replace models BHR200 / BHR202.
